Blended Scotch
0.75 oz
Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes
Angostura Bitters

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass filed with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

Named for a Scottish folk hero, the Rob Roy is a great twist on the classic Manhattan. Switching out the rye for a high quality blended scotch yields a smoky and complex drink that can add some excitement to your home cocktail routine.

Using a high quality blended scotch, such as Famous Grouse on the cheaper end, or something like Chivas Regal or Monkey Shoulder yields a better cocktail. This drink is spirit forward and you certainly want to enjoy the scotch you use in it. I like to use Carpano Antica as my vermouth in this cocktail, but you can experiment with different sweet vermouths to see what suits your palate.
